Vikings Sign Six Players To Futures Deals

The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday that they’ve signed six players to futures contracts for the 2018 season including OT Dieugot Joseph, OT Cedrick Lang, DT Caushaud Lyons, DE Ifeadi Odenigbo, DB Horace Richardson and LB Antwione Williams.

As of now, the Vikings have signed seven players to futures deals including:

  1. WR Brandon Zylstra
  2. OL Dieugot Joseph
  3. OT Cedrick Lang
  4. DT Caushaud Lyons
  5. DE Ifeadi Odenigbo
  6. DB Horace Richardson
  7. LB Antwione Williams

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Lyons, 25, originally signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Tusculum back in 2015. After brief stints with the Titans, Rams and Lions, he signed on to the Bears practice squad last month.

Lyons contract officially expired after Chicago’s season ended and he wasn’t signed to a future’s contract. The Vikings signed him to their practice squad a few weeks ago.

Lyons has yet to appear in an NFL game.
