Vikings Signing QB Chanlder Harnish To Practice Squad

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings are signing QB Chanlder Harnish to their practice to provide some extra depth at the position now that Teddy Bridgewater is dealing with an ankle sprain.

Following Sunday’s game, Bridgewater told reporters that he hopes to play against the Packers in Week 4. However, he’ll only have a few days to recover given that their next match up is on Thursday night.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see Minnesota promote QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson from their practice squad at some point in the near future.

Harnish, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Colts back in 2012. He spent time on and off the team’s practice squad before he was ultimately waived a month ago as the team trimmed their roster down to 53 players.
