Vikings Signing TE Nick Truesdell

Damond Talbot of NFLDraftDiamonds reports that the Vikings are signing TE Nick Truesdell to a contract on Thursday.

Yesterday, Talbot reported that Truesdell put together an impressive showing at the veteran combine a few weeks ago and now had offers from nine NFL teams including the Raiders, Jets, Bengals, Vikings, Rams, Falcons, Colts, Giants and Titans.

Truesdell was meeting with one of these nine teams on Wednesday and was expected to sign at some point in the near future.

It looks like the Vikings wound up being the team with the most interest in signing him.

Truesdell, 27, wound up signing on with the Colorado Ice as an undrafted free agent out of Grand Rapids back in 2014. He later played for the Spokane Shock and the Portland Steel before joining the Colts in July of last year. Unfortunately, Truesdell lasted just a few days in Indianapolis before he was waived.

During his three-year Arena league career, Truesdell caught 127 passes for 1,527 yards receiving and 38 touchdowns for Spokane and Portland.
