Vikings Sign WR Stefon Diggs To Five-Year, $72M Extension With Over $40M Gtd

Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings are signing WR Stefon Diggs to a five-year extension on Tuesday.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, Diggs receives a five-year extension worth $72 million. The total value of his contract is now $81 million and includes just over $40 million in guaranteed money.
  • Diggs is now under contract through the 2023 season.

The Vikings have been working to get their core players under contract long-term this offseason, and it looks like they managed to cross another off the list.

The next player for Minnesota to address is LB Anthony Barr.

Diggs, 24, is a former fifth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2015. He was in the final year of his rookie contract and set to be an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2017, Diggs appeared in 14 games for the Vikings and caught 64 passes for 849 yards receiving and eight touchdowns for the Vikings.

We have him featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
