Vikings Sticking With Christian Ponder At QB For Week 10

Minnesota Vikings HC Leslie Frazier told reporters on Monday that Christian Ponder will remain the team’s starting quarterback on a short week.

This coincides with what Frazier said after Sunday’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

“I don’t see why we would make a change,” said Frazier, via ESPN.com.

Ponder finished Sunday’s game going 25-37 for 236 yards passing, one touchdown, on interception and a fumble lost. He did, however, contribute a rushing touchdown of his own.

The Vikings will take on the Redskins on Thursday night, so it really does make a good deal of sense to stick with the guy who has the best understanding of the team’s offense. With that being said, another loss could be enough for them to turn things over to Josh Freeman for the remainder of the season and see what he is capable of doing for them.
