Vikings Trade For Donovan McNabb

Fox Sports Jay Glazer reports that the Washington Redskins have traded QB Donovan McNabb to the Minnesota Vikings in return for a 6th round pick in 2012 and another 6th round pick in 2013. Glazer notes that the 6th round pick in 2013 could be contingent upon McNabb’s 2011 performance.

One other issue of note that has already been mentioned throughout the day is that McNabb is going to have to restructure his current contract. As of now McNabb would be paid $1.75 million plus a $10 million option bonus that’s due September 12. There’s no way that any team is going to pay him that much money so it will be interesting what the Vikings are actually willing to give him.

Glazer adds that the Vikings considered bringing one of Tyler Thigpen or Bruce Gradkowski but ultimately chose to deal for McNabb.
