Vikings Unlikely To Fire HC Leslie Frazier During The Season?

Tom Pelissero of USA Today mentions that the Minnesota Vikings are unlikely to fire HC Leslie Frazier during the season.

The Vikings reportedly do not want to fire two coaches during the season after reaching the playoffs the year before because it would give off the impression of them having “quick trigger,” and subsequently hurt their coaching search next year.

  • Pelissero expects a full housecleaning at the end of the season.

Despite leading the Vikings to the playoffs in 2012, Frazier’s career record as the Vikings head coach is 17-28 (.378).

GM Rick Spielman could survive another bad year, as the decision to keep Frazier as their head coach came from owner Ziggy Wilf.

I am sure we will be hearing a lot more regarding the Vikings head coach position in the coming weeks.
