Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 writes that it’s “hard to imagine” the Vikings trading out of the Top 6 picks.
Pelissero mentions that the Vikings need’s would prevent them from moving down to #8 overall unless they decide LB Luke Kuechly or DT Dontari Poe are worthy of being taken so high.
Last night, we posted some comments from NFL scouts who believe that Poe will ultimately be overdrafted because of his Combine workout, and Kuechly, although considered the best inside linebacker in the draft, is most likely a reach at that point.
The Vikings are banking on increased in Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill, but the bidding appears to be between the Dolphins and Browns, so there would have to be some competitive bidding between the two teams for the Vikings to get something done. The Chiefs and Eagles could end up being wildcard teams to watch.
