The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve placed CB Keith Baxter and LB Jason Whittingham on waivers Sunday.
Whittingham wound up going undrafted out of Utah a few months ago. He just signed on with the Vikings earlier in the week, so his stay with the team was obviously short lived.
During his four-year college career, Whittingham recorded 153 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, a recovery and seven pass defenses.
Baxter signed on with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Marshall. Unfortunately, he was in the hospital recently, according to HC Mike Zimmer.
During his four-year college career, Baxter recorded 67 tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery, three interceptions and eight pass defenses.
