Vikings Were Willing To Give Bill Parcels A Blank Check To Run Their Football Operations?

Tom Pelissero ESPN 1500 reported earlier in the day that the Minnesota Vikings reached out to Bill Parcells regarding a position with the team. Pelissero adds that this “didn’t happen recently.”

Since then, several reports have confirmed that the Parcells will not be taking any job with the Vikings but Jason La Canfora adds that the Saints are “still in the mix.”

Vikings media relations director Bob Hagan has since mentioned that the team did not give Parcells a blank check to take over the teams’ football operations, which has been previously reported by the New York Post.

This could be a ploy by Pacells to get more money out of the Saints and increase his leverage, but there’s really no chance that he’ll be joining the Vikings at any point.
