Vikings Working Out Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater Saturday

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings are working out Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater this Saturday.

Josina Anderson of ESPN previously reported that Bridgewater was scheduled to visit with the Vikings on April 14 -15, so it appears as though they have moved up their meeting.

Schefter adds that the Vikings have been doing “extensive” work on this year’s quarterback prospects, which should come as no surprise given that they have been widely expected to draft someone this year.

  • Bridgewater has already visited with the Buccaneers and Patriots.

It has been interesting to see how the perception regarding Bridgewater has changed since the college season concluded. He was widely considered to be the best available player at the quarterback position a few months ago, but it appears as though evaluators have soured on his pro prospects to some degree.

There are concerns about his weight and overall durability moving forward, which has led some to suggest that he could fall out of the top-ten picks and possibly into day two.

Of course, the concerns regarding Bridgewater could be leaks from a team hoping to precipitant draft fall.

We have Bridgewater going to the Browns at No. 26 overall in our recently updated 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
