Vikings WR Jerome Simpson Suspended Three Games

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Vikings WR Jerome Simpson’s three-game suspension has been upheld.

Simpson was in the process of appealing his suspension for his drunken driving arrest that occurred last November, but he obviously wasn’t able to persuade the league.

Simpson wound up pleading guilty to careless driving and refusing to submit to a chemical test. He has already completed the required community service this spring.

This suspension is being treated as a second offense given that Simpson was previously arrested for suspended the first three games of the 2012 season.

Simpson, 29, signed a one-year contract worth $1 million with the Vikings back in March, Last year, he appeared in 16 games and caught 48 receptions for 726 yards receiving and a touchdown.
