Percy Harvin Out For Today’s Game Against Detroit

Adam Schefter reports that the Vikings have officially ruled out WR Percy Harvin for today’s game against the Lions.

After spraining his ankle in a Week 9 Vikings loss, WR Percy Harvin is listed as doubtful for this Sunday’s contest against the Detroit Lions, per Tom Pelissero.

“You see we definitely get the ball in Percy’s hands in the pass game,” Vikings RB Adrian Peterson said. “With him being out, some guys, a lot of guys are going to have to step up.”

If Harvin is indeed out, Minnesota signal caller Christian Ponder will have to look for production elsewhere against a porous Detroit secondary; TE Kyle Rudolph and WR Michael Jenkins could see some more looks their way on Sunday, considering the two pass catchers have the next-most receptions on the team after the injured Harvin.
