Report: Vince Wilfork Has Three Offers From AFC Teams Worth $10M

Update:

Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that free agent DT Vince Wilfork has three offers from AFC teams that would pay him $10 million over the course of two years on the table right now.

There are a number of AFC teams that would make sense for Wilfork including the Texans, Colts, Patriots and possibly the Ravens.

We’ll have more updates regarding who these teams could be as the news is available.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that free agent DT Vince Wilfork is considering four teams right now including the Texans and Patriots.

  • Rapoport adds that Wilfork is prepared to take his time making a decision.

New England elected to not pick up the two-year team option included in his contract, which means he’ll get an opportunity to test the free agent market next week.

Some have speculated that other 3-4 base defense teams like the Colts, Packers, and/or Ravens could have interest in Wilfork as well.

Wilfork, 33, appeared in 16 games and recorded 47 tackles, one interception and two pass defenses for New England. Pro Football Focus has Wilfork rated as the No. 13 defensive end in a 3-4 system.
