Vincent Jackson Eligible To Play Week 5

Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that Vincent Jackson‘s suspension will be reduced to four games if he is traded. If the San Diego Chargers elect to keep Jackson instead of trading him away, the suspension would be for six games instead of four.

The good news is that this situation has basically paved the way for a Vincent Jackson trade because of the incentive provided by the ruling.

Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilf recently stated that the team is ready and willing to go all in this season since Brett Favre is likely to retire after the season. One could speculate that Wilf’s comments could be an indication that the team will attempt to trade for Vincent Jackson because they lack a big-play wide-receiver.

Other teams that have been linked to Jackson include the: Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins and the Seattle Seahawks.
