Vincent Jackson to be Traded?

Considering that the San Diego Chargers are dealing with a rather unfortunate set of circumstances with both Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeill holding out for long-term deals, the Chargers may be willing trade their star WR.

On Monday, Jason La Canfora of NFL.com speculated that Chargers GM A.J. Smith may place Jackson on the trading block since he currently has limited value to the team because of his imminent holdout. La Canfora also suggests that the Seattle Seahawks may interested in acquiring the disgruntled wideout given that they missed out on acquiring Brandon Marshall earlier in the off-season.

Since the Chargers hold very little leverage in their negotiations with Jackson, exploring trade possibilities may be their only option at this point in time, unless they concede to Jackson’s demands. The Chargers have already indicated that they are willing to move on without him and have added Josh Reed to their receiving core. If someone is able to get Vincent Jackson from the Chargers, they are getting a top WR who is in the prime of his career.
