Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander Has Met With Chiefs, Colts, Jets & Saints

Tony Pauline of DraftAnalyst.com reports that Virginia Tech CB Adonis Alexander worked out for more than two dozen NFL teams on Wednesday at his Pro Day and has met with the Jets, Saints, Chiefs and Colts over the past few days.

According to Pauline, some scouts graded Alexander as the third highest rated senior prospect in the nation while some others had him as the No. 2 corerback prospect.

At his Pro Day, Alexander measured 6020/195 pounds and posted a 40-yard dash time of 4.61 to go along with 7.18 (3 cone), 4.37 (short shuttle), 35.5 inches (vertical) and 10-feet-4-inch (broad jump).

Pauline adds that Alexander’s length, balls skills and arm size (over 32 inches) are “very attractive” to NFL teams.

The Supplement Draft will be held on July 11.

Alexander played three seasons at Virginia Tech and recorded 125 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, one sack, seven interceptions, 17 pass defenses, and a forced fumble over the course of 32 games.

The last player taken in a supplement draft came back in 2015 when the Rams elected to use a fifth-round pick on OT Isaiah Battle. Before that, the Browns used a second-round pick on WR Josh Gordon back in 2012.

We’ll have more regarding Alexander and the supplemental draft as the news is available.
