Multiple reports have surfaced Saturday afternoon that Washington CB Sidney Jones suffered what appears to be a serious lower left leg injury during the school’s Pro Day.

Jones reportedly went down while backpedaling during a drill and had to be helped off the field by HC Chris Petersen, per Sheil Kapadia. Upon being taken off of the field, Jones had his left leg elevated on while on the cart.

Daniel Jeremiah has receives a number of texts from scouts in attendance who mentioned that Jones may have suffered a significant lower leg injury.

It’s hard to say exactly what the injury is right now and we won’t speculate at what it could be based on accounts being shared online.

Jones is considered to be one of the top cornerback prospects in this year’s draft class and you would hate to see anyone suffer a serious injury, especially this close to the draft.

During his college career at Washington, Jones recorded 145 tackles, one sack, eight interceptions, one defensive touchdown, 21 pass defenses, six forced fumbles, three recoveries and 21 pass defenses.

We’ll have more regarding Jones injury as the news is available.
