Washington Keeping Just Two QBs On Their Roster?

Rich Tandler of CSN Washington believes the Redskins may elect to move forward with just Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins as the only quarterbacks on their 2013 roster.

As of now, Washington is still carrying Rex Grossman as their third-string quarterback, but as Tandler points out, Mike Shanahan discussed the advantages of carrying four tight ends on their roster.

Washington also has kickoff specialist John Potter, which could also be an indication that Grossman is unlikely to make the final roster.

RGIII is coming off of a major knee injury, but Cousins proved to be more than capable of filling in if needed.

It’s hard to say what Grossman, 32, offers at this point in his career, so assuming that Griffin’s knee is holding up, it would make sense for them to keep someone who is capable of contributing on some level this season.
