Willis McGahee Ready To Holdout If His Contract Isn’t Addressed?

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Broncos RB Willis McGahee is “unhappy with his contract” and could end up holding out of training camp if his contract is not addressed in the coming months.

McGahee appears to be digging in after putting together a solid season that saw him rush for 1,199 yards and make the Pro Bowl in a run-heavy offense. He recent fired his agent Drew Rosenhaus which is an attempt to re-position himself for potential contract negotiations.

So far, Denver has refused to revisit his four-year contract worth $9.5 million. Last year, many felt that the deal was a bad move for the Broncos but that definitely wasn’t the case. It’s hard to imagine that McGahee would be able to best that deal by much on the open market given that he has an injury history, plays running back and is 30 years old.
