Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon Entering 2015 NFL Draft

Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show (via Pro Football Talk) Wednesday that he will be leaving school and entering the 2015 draft.

Gordon could have come out last year, but he elected to return to Wisconsin and has gone to put together a very impressive junior season that has him as one of the three finalists for the Heisman trophy.

This season, Gordon has ran for 2,336 yards on 309 carries (7.55 YPC) and 26 touchdowns.

There has been plenty of talk that he could be first-round selection along with Georgia RB Todd Gurley, even though running backs have had a hard time being drafted that high in recent years.

Gordon has drawn comparisons to Jamaal Charles and DeMarco Murray based on his running style.
