WR Anthony Gonzalez Signs With The Patriots

The New England Patriots have announced the signing of WR Anthony Gonzalez this afternoon.

It’s really an interesting move on the part of the Patriots as Gonzalez has yet to stay healthy enough to be an effective player in the NFL. Add in the fact that the Pat’s already have slot receivers in Wes Welker and Julian Edelman and it appears that he’ll have to earn a roster spot during training camp. Low cost moves like this can really payoff big but it would certainly be surprising to see him become an effective player next season.
