Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports reports that undrafted rookie CB Devron Davis is nearing a one-year contract with the 49ers. Schultz adds that the deal doesn’t include a signing bonus.
Kevin Boilard reported a few days ago that Davis was in talks with the 49ers.
Davis wound up going undrafted out of Texas-San Santonio following this year’s draft. He tried out for the Ravens but wasn’t signed to a contract following the session.
During his two years at UTSA, Davis recorded 51 tackles, six tackles for a loss, three interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, a forced fumble and 11 pass defenses over the course of two seasons and 20 games.
