Buccaneers Sign RB Darius Jackson & QB Chad Kanoff To Practice Squad

According to Jenna Laine, the Buccaneers signed RB Darius Jackson and QB Chad Kanoff to their practice squad.

Here’s the Buccaneers updated practice squad:

Jackson, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2016. Dallas waived him towards the end of the 2016 season and was later claimed off waivers by the Browns.

The Cowboys signed Jackson to a contract the following year, but elected to cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players. He had a brief stint with the Packers before returning to the Cowboys last year.

Jackson was, once again, among the Cowboys’ roster cuts in August had recently signed on to the Colts’ practice squad. 

In 2018, Jackson appeared in four games for the Packers and Cowboys and rushed for 16 yards on six carries (2.2 YPC).

Kanoff, 24, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Princeton back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cardinals, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Cardinals later signed Kanoff to their practice squad before promoted him in November. Arizona brought him back on a futures contract only to cut him loose in August. He later had a brief stint on the Lions’ practice squad. 

During his college career at Princeton, Kanoff threw for 7,510 yards while completing 64.5 percent of his passes to go along with 43 touchdowns and 22 interceptions over the course of 34 games. He also rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.
