Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Bears are signing RB Jeremy McNichols to their practice squad on Tuesday.
Hereโs the Bears updated practice squad:
- DB Stephen Denmark
- TE Jesper Horsted
- WR Thomas Ives
- DB Michael Joseph
- OL Sam Mustipher
- QB Tyler Bray
- TE Dax Raymond
- LB Fadol Brown (Injured)
- T Dino Boyd
- DE Dewayne Hendrix
- RB Jeremy McNichols
McNichols was among the players who tried out for Chicago today.
McNichols, 23, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2017. He signed a four-year contract worth $2,663,788 with Tampa Bay but was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason.
From there, McNichols had brief stints with the 49ers, Colts and Broncos before the Titans signed him to their active roster last year. Tennessee elected to cut him loose this past September.
During his college career at Boise State, McNichols rushed for 3,205 yards on 571 carries (5.6 YPC) to go along with 103 receptions for 1,089 yards receiving and 55 total touchdowns over the course of three seasons and 34 games.
