Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Bengals are signing former Vikings CB Mackensie Alexander to a one-year, $4 million deal.
This is the second former Vikings’ cornerback the Bengals have signed this week after they agreed to a deal with Trae Waynes.
Alexander, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4.316 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.03 million for the 2019 season.
Alexander was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2019, Alexander appeared in 13 games for the Vikings and recorded 38 tackles, a half sack, an interception, a fumble recovery and five pass defenses.
We had him included in our Top 100 Available 2020 Free Agents list.
