Bengals Signing S Vonn Bell To Three-Year, $18M Deal

According to Ian Rapoport, the Bengals have agreed to a three-year deal with former Saints S Vonn Bell.

Mike Garafolo reports that Bell receives a three-year contract worth $18 million and includes $11.5 million guaranteed.

Bell had to wait until the second week of free agency to find a new home but it ended up working out well for Cincinnati, which adds another major piece to its secondary.

Bell, 25, was taken with the No. 61 overall pick out of Ohio State after the Saints traded up with the Patriots to select him in the middle of round two. The Saints gave up their third- and fourth-round picks as part of the deal to select Bell.

According to OverTheCap.com, Bell received a four-year contract worth $5,118,974 to go along with a signing bonus of $1,922,888. He made a base salary of $991,677 in 2019.

In 2019, Bell appeared in 13 games for the Saints and recorded 89 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries including one returned for a touchdown, one interception and five pass defenses.
