Adam Schefter reports that the Titans are signing former Rams OL Rodger Saffold to a four-year, $44 million contract that includes $22.5 million guaranteed.
A report from Monday mentioned that the Titans were a team to watch for Saffold and it looks like Tennessee proved to be his best option in the end.
Saffold, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Rams back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract with the Rams before agreeing to a five-year, $42.5 million contract with the Raiders back in 2014.
However, the Raiders failed Saffold on a physical and returned to the Rams on five-year, $31.347 million contract that included $19.5 million guaranteed.
Saffold was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Saffold appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 9 guard out of 81 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
