“Decent Chance” Rams Sign CB Kayvon Webster

Cameron Wolfe spoke with free agent CB Kayvon Webster, who mentioned that his visit with the Rams is “going well.

According to Wolfe, there’s a “decent chance” Webster ends up reuniting with his former DC Wade Phillips and takes on a larger role with the Rams.

All indications have been that the Rams are a serious suitor for Webster and he is likely to end up in Los Angeles, so it won’t come as a big surprise if they’re able to get a deal worked out in the near future.

Troy Renck previously mentioned that some of Webster’s teammates believe he could be a starter for some team and it’s possible that the Rams are willing to give him that shot.

Webster, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2013. He has played out his four- year, $2,745,800 contract and is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2016, Webster appeared in 13 games for the Broncos and recorded eight tackles, a pass defense and no interceptions while being a large contributor on special teams.
