Dolphins Sign DE Julius Warmsley To Practice Squad, Cut DE Cleyon Laing.

The Miami Dolphins officially signed DE Julius Warmsley to their practice squad on Monday and waived DE Cleyon Laing.

The Dolphins’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. TE Thomas Duarte
  2. S A.J. Hendy
  3. DE Julius Warmsley
  4. CB Lafayette Pitts
  5. WR Rashawn Scott
  6. LB Brandon Watts
  7. QB Brandon Doughty
  8. C Jake Brendel
  9. OT Terry Poole
  10. RB Senorise Perry

Warmsley, 26, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Tulane back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Houston before signing on to the Seahawks’ practice squad coming out of the preseason.

Warmsley returned to the Seahawks on a future/reserve contract in 2015 but was on and off of their practice squad for most of the season. The Dolphins eventually added him to their practice squad before re-signing him to a future’s deal this past January.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins waived him last week.

In 2016, Warmsley has appeared in five games and recorded eight tackles and no sacks for the Dolphins.
