CBS Sports’ Clark Judge reports that the Philadelphia Eagles remain “indifferent” about signing pro bowl CB Nnamdi Asomugha.
“I’ve heard too many people say the Eagles aren’t all that jacked up about Asomugha not to pay attention,” writes Judge. He goes on to mention that Nnamdi “will cost a fortune” andย “they just don’t think he’s the right guy for them.”
It’s true that Asomugha will command a huge contract and he’s going to be 30 this year but there have been multiple cornerbacks that have played great well into their 30’s, Charles Woodson and Champ Bailey. Philadelphia needs to solidify their secondary and moreย specifically the cornerback opposite of Asante Samuel. The Eagles could really have used him against the Packers in the playoffs considering that Green Bay’s passing game attacked the secondary weakness.
