Eagles Signing G John Moffitt To A One-Year Deal

Ross Jones of FOX Sports reports that the Eagles are set to sign Gย John Moffitt to a one-year contract.

According to Jones, Moffitt drew interest from several teams, but ultimately felt that the Eagles were his best fit and opportunity.

Moffitt decided to unretire from the NFL a few weeks ago and the Broncos granted him his release.

After becoming available,ย Jonesย mentioned that Moffittย theย Eagles, Dolphins, Buccaneers, Jets and Texansย were likely toย show “strong interest” in signing him to a contract.

Moffitt, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2011. He spent just two years in Seattle before he was later traded to the Broncos in return forย DL Brian Sanford.

Seattle tried to trade him to the Browns, but that deal fell through after injury concerns were raised regarding this injured knee.

Moffitt last appeared in an NFL game during the 2013 season while playing for the Broncos.
