Eagles Signing Veteran CB Orlando Scandrick

Mike Garofolo reports that the Eagles are signing veteran CB Orlando Scandrick to a contract on Saturday following his workout for the team.

The Eagles are a little banged up at cornerback right now and Scandrick was among the best available options at the positon.

Scandrick recently worked out for the Vikings.

Scandrick, 32, is a former fifth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He was in the fourth year of his five-year, $20 million contract and set to make base salaries of $3 million and $4 million over the final two years of the agreement when the Cowboys designated him as a post-June 1 release in 2018.

The Redskins signed Scandrick to a two-year contract that included $1 million guaranteed only to release him in August. The Chiefs scooped Scandrick up on a one-year deal.

In 2018, Scandrick appeared in 15 games for the Chiefs and recorded 44 total tackles, one forced fumble, one interception and 13 pass defenses.

We had him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
