Falcons Will Pass On Signing Veteran CB Leon Hall

Vaughn McClure of ESPN, citing a league source, reports that the Falcons will not be signings veteran CB Leon Hall at this point in time.

The Falcons were expected to make a decision as to whether or not they would be signing Hall to a contract this week. However, it looks like they prefer to take an extended look at their current options before seriously considering an addition like Hall.

Atlanta brought Hall in for a visit a few weeks ago and him take a physical. Hall has also met with the Giants this week and a recent report from Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel mentioned the Dolphins have expressed interest in possibly bringing him in for a visit as well.

Hall, 31, is former first-round pick of the Bengals back in 2007. He has spent all nine years of his NFL career with the Bengals and is now among the best available cornerbacks in this year’s market.

In 2015, Hall appeared in 14 games for the Bengals and recorded 55 tackles, two interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, and nine pass defenses.
