Free Agent CB Cortland Finnegan Headed For The Open Market

Update: Tony Softli, writer for 101 Espn, also feels that the Rams will try to lure CB Finnegan, should he reach the market.

New HC Jeff Fisher is known for expecting tough, physical play from his team, and he would feel confident adding Finnegan as a defensive leader who would help set the tone on the field.

ESPN’s Paul Kuharsky doubts that Tennessee Titans’ CB Cortland Finnegan will be re-signed.  Finnegan is certainly one of the top-five free agents who will be available at the position (even with freshly-trimmed Stanford Routt joining the list) and will command more on the open than the Titans would care to pay.

The Titans have already re-signed three players and don’t appear desperate to commit to their resources to his return.  Among the teams that will kick the tires on Finnegan are the Lions (who recently hired ex-Titan Marcus Robinson as an assistant DB coach), Rams, and Jaguars.
