Giants Claim DT Robert Thomas, Waive DT Montori Hughes

The Giants claim DT  Robert Thomas and waive DT Montori Hughes, per Jordan Raanan.

Thomas, 25, originally signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas in 2014. He was on and off of the practice squad during his rookie season before signing on to the Seahawks’ practice squad at the start of the 2015 season.

Thomas lasted only a few months with the Seahawks, prior to being cut and later signed by the Patriots.

The Dolphins eventually signed him to a contract in December of last year, but elected to waive him on Thursday.

In 2015, Thomas appeared in one game, only recording a single tackle.
