Brian Costello of the New York Post reports that the Jets deal with S Marqui Christian has fallen through and the team plans to move on.
Christian was reportedly signing a one-year deal worth $2 million for the 2020 season with the Jets.
Christian, 25, is a former fifth-round of the Cardinals back in 2016. Arizona waived Christian a few weeks into the 2016 regular season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Rams.
Christian played out the year of his four-year, $2.55 million contract and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
In 2019, Christian appeared in all 16 games for the Rams and recorded 34 tackles, no interceptions and two passes defended. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 74 safety out of 86 qualifying players.
