Lions Signing QB Chad Kanoff & WR Marvin Hall To P-Squad, Cut Two

The Detroit Lions announced that they’ve signed WR Marvin Hall and QB Chad Kanoff to their practice squad and released WR Jonathan Duhart and RB Mark Thompson from the unit.

Here’s the Lions updated practice squad:

  1. DT John Atkins
  2. WR Tom Kennedy
  3. LB Steve Longa
  4. TE Isaac Nauta
  5. T Matt Nelson
  6. LB Anthony Pittman
  7. DE Jonathan Wynn
  8. LB Jason Cabinda
  9. QB Chad Kanoff
  10. WR Marvin Hall

Kanoff, 24, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Princeton back in May of last year. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract with the Cardinals, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Cardinals later signed Kanoff to their practice squad before promoted him in November. Arizona brought him back on a futures contract only to cut him loose this past weekend.

During his college career at Princeton, Kanoff threw for 7,510 yards while completing 64.5 percent of his passes to go along with 43 touchdowns and 22 interceptions over the course of 34 games. He also rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.
