Eagles Signing DT Malik Jackson To Three-Year, $30M Deal

Update:

Josina Anderson reports that the Eagles are expected to sign DT Malik Jackson on Monday.

Adam Schefter reports that Jackson will receive a three-year, $30 million contract.

Pro Football Talk is hearing that former Jaguars DL Malik Jackson is closer to signing a new deal with an undisclosed team. However, PFT says the Packers and Eagles are the “primary options” right now.

It’s worth mentioning that signing him to a contract won’t impact a team’s 2019 compensatory picks, given that he was released this offseason.

Jackson, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Broncos back in 2012. He played out his four-year, $2,313,612 rookie contract before agreeing to a six-year, $85.5 million deal that included $42 million guaranteed with the Jaguars.

Jackson was set to make a base salary of $13 million in 2019 when the Jaguars released him last week.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
