Chargers
- Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune writes that rookie DE Joey Bosa practiced in pads for the first time as a member of the Chargers today, which is also his first practice since August 30th.
Lions
- Jason Cole of B/R mentions that the Lions’ staff is concerned that defenses will be able to pressure QB Matthew Stafford now that RB Ameer Abdullah has been placed on injured.
- According to Cole, the Lions are hoping running backs Theo Riddick and Dwayne Washington can maintain some balance in regards to their play-calling moving forward.
Patriots
- According to Albert Breer, Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo‘s AC sprain will be “difficult” for him to play through for the next two or three weeks.
- Breer says that pain tolerance and strength are really the main issues when trying to play through this injury.
- Breer adds that based on normal recovery, Garoppolo would be “very limited” for Thursday’s game, while being “somewhat limited” for their game on October 2 against the Bills.
