NFL Notes: Knowshon Moreno, Broncos, Packers, Patriots, & Seahawks

Knowshon Moreno

Packers WR Jordy Nelson (hip) was able to participate in Wednesday’s OTA practice for the first time.

We’re right where we want to be,” Nelson said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN. “We set a plan at the beginning, and we’re hitting every target. We feel good and like I said a couple of weeks ago, we’ll be ready to go by training camp.

  • Albert Breer reports that the NFLPA is looking into the potential violation of the CBA by the Patriots for their decision to sit CB Malcolm Butler out of offseason workouts for three weeks after he missed the first practice.

Mike Freeman, citing sources close to the situation, reports that contract talks between the Seahawks and QB Russell Wilson “are not going smoothly.

However, Freeman adds that “they are going terribly or acrimoniously; it’s that they are just stagnant.”

A Seahawks player tells Freeman that Wilson will likely use this situation — assuming he doesn’t get a new extension — as motivation for the upcoming season.
