Osi Umenyiora

During his retirement press conference on Wednesday, DE Osi Umenyiora said he received an offer from the team just yesterday. However he was “either I was going to play for the Giants or I wasn’t going to play at all,” Umenyiora said, per Mike Garafolo.

Bills

  • Bills head coach Rex Ryan says WR Deonte Thompson has “really taken off” and added the team has been receiving “a lot of calls” in regards to his availability. (Mike Rodak)

Giants

  • Bart Hubbuch writes that Giants head coach Tom Coughlin‘s job may be in jeopardy with the rash of injuries that has depleted the rosters’ depth.

Lions

  • Dave Birkett reports there were four teams interested in trading for OT Michael Williams who was dealt to the Patriots for a future seventh round draft pick.

Texans
