Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports reports that the Green Bay Packers are “working hard” on getting C Scott Wells under contract. Cole also mentions that the Packers met with Wells’ representation over the weekend.
Wells is said to be seeking around $7 million per season which is a huge deal for a center especially when you consider that he’s 31 years old. Wells is coming off of three quality seasons for the Packers and is arguably their best offensive lineman so they’ll try to get something done in the coming days to prevent him from hitting the open market.
