Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders are signing free agent RB C.J. Anderson to a contract on Tuesday.
Anderson, 27, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Cal back in 2013. He signed a four-year, $18 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed with the Dolphins as a restricted free agent during the 2016 offseason but the Broncos matched the deal.
Anderson was set to make base salaries of $4.5 million over the next two years of the agreement when the Broncos released him during the offseason. The Panthers later signed him to a one-year contract, but released him last month.
Since becoming a free agent, Anderson had workouts with the Chiefs and Lions but left both meetings without a contract.
In 2018, Anderson has appeared in nine games for the Panthers and rushed for 104 yards on 24 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with one reception for 24 yards receiving and one touchdown.
We had him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
