Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post is now reporting that the Falcons will in fact be signing LB Pat Angerer to a contract.
- Wilson reported earlier in the day that the Falcons brought iAngerer in for a workout.
Last we heard regarding Angerer, he was waiting to take visits with NFL teams until he was 100 percent healthy, as he’s coming off of microfracture surgery. However, it appears as though he is now healthy and ready for training camp.
Angerer, 27, was selected by the Colts in the second-round draft of the 2010 NFL Draft. Last year, he totaled 63 tackles, 0.5 sacks and an interception over the course of 11 games.
Pro Football Focus has Angerer rates as the No. 36 inside linebacker in the league last season.
