Report: Dolphins “Very Interested” In Signing Free Agent S Louis Delmas

Update:

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that although the Dolphins haven’t made free agent S Louis Delmas a contract offer, they are “very interested” in signing him.

Delmas met with the Dolphins and Friday. He has also visited with the FalconsSaints and Steelers, and the Broncos are believed to have interest as well.

Delmas, 26, was in the final year of his two-year, $7.715 million contract he signed with the just last year before the Lions elected to part ways and take the cap relief. He totaled 64 tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions over the course of nine games with the Lions in 2013.

According to Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, the Atlanta Falcons have reached out to free agent S Louis Delmas since he was released by Detroit.

However, McClure mentions that concerns regarding Delmas’ knees could be the reason why the Falcons have yet to schedule a visit.

Pro Football Talk reports that the Saints are bringing in former Lions S Louis Delmas for a visit today.

  • Mike Klis of Denver Post previously reported that the Broncos had been in contact with agent Drew Rosenhaus regarding Delmas

Delmas visited with the Steelers shortly after being released and is believed to have interest from the Falcons as well.
