Dave Birkett reports that the Detroit Lions are in fact signing former Colts CB Cassius Vaughn to a contract.
- According to Birkett, Vaughn will receive a one-year contract.
- Birkett reported earlier in the day that Vaughn was working out for the Lions on Monday.
The Lions are in need of some extra help at cornerback as they currently have Chris Houston, Darius Slay and Bill Bentley as their top three options at the position.
Vaughn, 26, appeared in all 16 games for the Colts last season and totaled 30 tackles, a career-high three interceptions, a forced fumble and one recovery. Pro Football Focus has Vaughn rated as the No. 76 cornerback in the league last year.
