Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Seahawks are re-signing versatile DB Akeem King to a one-year, $1.4 million deal that includes a $400K signing bonus.
According to Pelissero, King’s contract can max out at $2.05 million with incentives.
King, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He was, unfortunately, waived at the start of the 2015 season and later signed to the team’s practice squad before eventually being promoted to their active roster.
King returned to the Falcons on an exclusive rights contract for the 2017 season but was waived coming out of the preseason. The Seahawks later added him to their practice squad and brought him back on for the 2018 season.
In 2018, King appeared in all 16 games for the Seahawks and recorded 18 tackles and no interceptions.
