NFL Insiders Tim Kavanagh and Jamison Hensley of ESPN highlight the WR position for the Cincinnati Bengals.
A.J. Green emerged as a clear #1 option for the Bengals in his rookie year. It’s clear that the Bengals are seeking a young player to partner Green for the long-term, and could go in that direction early in the upcoming draft at pick 17 (acquired from the Raiders) or 21.
Hensley argues that between WRs Stephen Hill and Kendall Wright, Hill provides the better fit for the Bengals. He reasons that Wright is more prepared for an easy transition, while Hill requires more development. As the Bengals consider themselves a play-off contender, they’ll seek an impact player. Wright may also be a better complement to Green, as he can provide a presence in the middle of the field.
While debates continue on which WR would be best for the Bengals, there are few who think that picks 17 and 21 will pass without a receiver heading to Cincinnati.
