Texans Re-Signing WR Bruce Ellington To One-Year Deal

Ian Rapoport reports that the Texans are re-signing WR Bruce Ellington to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Ellington, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $2.694 million rookie contract when he was waived by San Francisco and claimed by the Jets.

Unfortunately, Ellington missed the entire 2016 season after he suffered a torn hamstring during the preseason and was later placed on injured reserve.

The Texans signed Ellington back in August of last year and placed him on injured reserve in December due to a hamstring injury.

In 2017, Ellington appeared in 11 games and recorded 29 receptions for 330 receiving yards (11.4 YPC) and two touchdowns.
